RESEARCH AND EXTENSION History: The research and extension function of the College was only given full attention in 1996 when the College was granted financial assistance by PCARRD for the establishment of the Research Central Nursery. This was during the administration of retired President Dr. Maniaga P. Mantawil, which served as starting point for a vigorous effort to pursue research activities. The research programs of the college are based on the Institutions Research Agenda with regard to the research priority area of the State of the Philippine Upland Research Profile (SPURP), the Arakan Valley Complex (AVC), the Agriculture and Fisheries Modernization Act (AFMA) through Bureau of Agriculturral Research of the Department of Agriculture (BAR – DA), the Regional Research and Development and Extension Network (RRDEN), and finally the research mandate of the CFCST based on iys vision, mission, goals, and objectives, viz: interface. Itinally, the Institution Reseaarch Agenda were evolved from a series research for a conducted with the participation of government and non – government funding agencies to providedirection through presentation of set thrust and priorities. From here, the Research and Extension Director conjoined with the Research Chairman to disseminate the information generated from the research forum. The Research Chairman conduct meetings on the Research Coordinators of the different departments and came up with the agenda was also presented to the College of Research and Extension Council which serve as the policy making body of the Research and Extension programs for comments and affirmation. to the College of Research and Extension Council which serve as the policy making body of the Research and Extension programs for comments and affirmation. |

The logo The Microscope signifies the Research programs and projects based on Institutions mandate and priority areas of the agency linkages. The Web connotes the progressive Extension plans, programs and approaches such as: to compliment technological skills and knowledge, conduct series of in-school and out-to-barangays training seminars, offer short term courses (non-formal) and offer consultancy that will make possible technological changes or generate resources through effective research and development that will be delivered to the beneficiaries. . |
